Two Brothers Taphouse and Brewery

April 22nd, 2018

Two Brothers Taphouse and Brewery in Scottsdale is the second location for Two Brothers, referred to as the 4321 location, with the original in Warrenville, IL. Two Brothers is a large brick building with a patio and an outside bar. As you enter the building it is similar to a sports bar with televisions hanging, customers at the horseshoe bar top and at the tables eating and drinking, with music playing overhead. There are stairs to go up to a second-floor balcony where there was a painting event going on. I sat at the bar ready to enjoy the most popular beer that they serve, the Wobble IPA. Wobble... Read More

Freak’n Brewing

April 1st, 2018

Freak’n Brewing is a small brewery located off the Loop 101 and Olive in the Olive Business Park. It is tucked in the back of an industrial building that is easy to drive by like I did. The taproom is small with high top three tables and a bar top.  The friendly ladies behind the bar were working their way through the line to make sure everyone was served. I ordered a flight, as that seems to be the best route to go when going to a new brewery allowing me to have a chance to sample all of the beers the brewery has to offer. The flight I ordered was of 8, which serves all of the beers they currently... Read More

Mother Bunch Brewing

March 18th, 2018

I chose to go to Mother Bunch Brewing, simply because the name reminds me of the band Mother Love Bone, this week to indulge in their craft beer. Approaching this old brick building attached to a Cheeba Hut I didn’t know what to expect, from a sports bar type feel to a hipster run establishment. Inside it was neither. The vibe was very relaxed with the classic music of Tom Petty’s Free Falling and the Eagles Hotel California lightly playing. There are two small TV’s playing March Madness games, families and strictly beer drinkers encompassing the area. One wall displayed a mural painted... Read More

8-Bit Aleworks

March 13th, 2018

Sitting in the back of an industrial complex surrounded by dance and martial arts studios, a brewery is the last thing you would expect to see. On the Westside of the valley off of Fairway Drive (in between Avondale Blvd and Dysart Road) and Van Buren lies a small beer gold mine by the name of 8-Bit Aleworks. 8-Bit Aleworks lives up to its name as it is a video game themed brewery that brings back the nostalgia of all-night gaming sessions on summer breaks as a kid.  The theme of this brewery is ingrained in every detail. 8-Bit Aleworks has a tasting room comfortable enough to sit and enjoy the... Read More
